Experience

Nikos is co-founding partner of the firm. He has extensive experience as a corporate lawyer and specialises in the areas of Banking and Finance with an emphasis on corporate finance, securities and regulatory work, Company and Commercial commercial transactions, Litigation and Real Estate.

Since 1997, Nikos has been acting as legal counsel to The Hellenic Deposit Guarantee Fund (TEK), the institution established in the banking sector to provide bank deposit insurance. This position has enabled him to participate in and monitor the developments in the regulatory framework of the banking and finance sector in Greece. Nikos has been one of the professionals asked to advise on and draft the amendments to the deposit insurance laws, which were effected in 2000 and has also served as a member of a Regulatory Committee on Banking Matters, advising on the amendment of legislation dealing with the participation of cooperative banks in the deposit guarantee scheme. He has served as a Bar Examiner in Commercial Law at the Athens Bar during the years 1999-2000.

Nikos sits on the board of several prominent listed corporations, non-profit organisations and foundations. He has also served on the boards of and acted as legal counsel to a number of sports clubs and federations.

Education and Admissions

Nikos is a graduate with high honours of the University of Athens Law School (LL.B., 1984) and Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley (LL.M., 1988, Study in International Harmonization of Securities Laws). He is admitted to the Athens Bar Association (1986) and the Supreme Court of Greece (1994).
